Effects Of Spatial Disturbances On Asymmetries Of VortexesReport describes computational study of effects of small spatial disturbances on asymmetries in vortexes downstream of slender bodies of revolution in flows at large angle of attack. Flow phenomena affect stability and maneuvering characteristics of missiles and aircraft. Understanding phenomena helps answer questions as how precisely symmetrical aerodynamic body should be, and how roughness, bumps, or other imperfections affect maneuvering characteristics.
