Computer Simulation For Design Of TWT'sA three-dimensional finite-element analytical technique facilitates design and fabrication of traveling-wave-tube (TWT) slow-wave structures. Used to perform thermal and mechanical analyses of TWT designed with variety of configurations, geometries, and materials. Using three-dimensional computer analysis, designer able to simulate building and testing of TWT, with consequent substantial saving of time and money. Technique enables detailed look into operation of traveling-wave tubes to help improve performance for future communications systems.
