Spatial and temporal variations of CO2, sensible and latent heat fluxes over the FIFE siteThe temporal and spatial variations of mass and energy exchanges are characterized by data taken from grid flights at a constant pressure altitude. Data from two separate studies are presented to demonstrate that the correlation coefficients increase with improved estimates of the origin of mass and energy exchange. Measurements taken from aircraft can effectively describe relationships between surface processes and vegetation characteristics on a regional scale.
