Science and application missions of the near futureA variety of missions under study for NASA at the Marshall Space Flight Center in support of space science, SEI, and the Mission to Planet Earth are discussed. These science and application payloads including the laser atmospheric wind sounder, inner magnetosphere imager, large lunar telescope, and lunar transit telescope will utilize the capabilities of the Space Station, the earth observing system, GEO, and SEI infrastructure. Attention is given to controls, astrophysics, and structures experiment in space.
