Poly(1,2,4-Triazoles) Via Aromatic Nucleophilic DisplacementSynthesis involves nucleophilic displacement of monomers with activated aromatic dihalides. Polymers exhibited desirable physical and thermal properties. Synthesis of polymers provides high-molecular-weight PT of new chemical structures, potentially more economically favorable than other routes, and, because of availability of large variety of activated aromatic dihalides, provides for facile variation of chemical structure. Useful for producing films, moldings, adhesives, and composites.
