Provides benchmark set of tasks for use in wide range of laboratory studies of operator performance and workload. Incorporates tasks analogous to activities aircraft crewmembers perform in flight, while providing high degree of experiment control, performance data on each subtask, and freedom to use nonpilot test subjects. Designed to use serially linked second computer to generate voice messages for communication task.
