Microwave Holography Helps Improve Performance Of Large AntennasReport describes use of microwave holography and related techniques of measurement and computation for diagnostics, analysis, and performance improvement of large microwave reflector antennas over all operating frequencies. Technique based on Fourier-transform relationship between complex far-field radiation pattern of antenna at small angles off boresight axis, and complex electromagnetic antenna aperture field distribution, as function of position, expressed in terms of equivalent surface current density.
