Classification of four ordinary chondrites from the Monnig Meteorite CollectionWe classified four ordinary chondrites from the Monnig Meteorite Collection into compositional groups, petrologic types and shock stages, based on optical microscopy in transmitted and reflected light, and electron microprobe and modal analyses. These meteorites are Allen, Texas, H4(S2): May Day, Kansas, H4(S2); Pony Creek, Texas, H4(S3); and Springer, Oklahoma, H5(S3).
