Dark matter or new physics?Several proposals for a new physics to explain the deviation of galactic rotation curves from their expected Keplerian falloff with distance are discussed. Emphasis is given to a locally scale-invariant theory of gravity posed by the authors. The observational consequences of this theory are pointed out.
