Bubble migration under the combined action of buoyancy and thermocapillarityThe migration of a gas bubble under the combined action of buoyancy and a downward temperature gradient is analyzed. Inertial effects are considered negligible, but allowance is made for convective transport of energy in the model. Results from a numerical solution of the governing equations are presented and discussed.
