Optics technology base R/T program overviewNASA is studying a number of advanced optical systems concepts to achieve a variety of science mission goals. Most of these concepts require significant advancements in optics technology. An overview of the Optics Technology base R&T program is presented in outline form. The program structure contains six major program elements: optical materials and coatings, optics modeling, advanced optics fabrication, optical testing, wavefront sensing and control, and sensor optics technology.
