Subpiosecond Third Order Nonlinear Response in Polythiophene and Thiopene Based Thin FilmsUltrafast relaxation kinetics of the third order nonlinear susceptibility of polythiophene and polycondensed thiophene-based polymer was determined by the forward degenerate four-wave mixing technique. Deep into the absorption band the nonlinear response shows only a fast component (less than 900 fs at 587 nm) while at the edge of the absorption band at 642 nm a much slower and complex decay was measured.
