CCD Detects Two Images In Quick SuccessionPrototype special-purpose charge-coupled device (CCD) designed to detect two 1,024 x 1,024-pixel images in rapid succession. Readout performed slowly to minimize noise. CCD operated in synchronism with pulsed laser, stroboscope, or other pulsed source of light to form pairs of images of rapidly moving objects.
