Bi-directional streaming of halo electrons in interplanetary plasma clouds observed between 0.3 and 1 AUThe solar wind data obtained from the two Helios solar probes in the years 1974 to 1986 were systematically searched for the occurrence of bi-directional electron events. Most often these events are found in conjunction with shock associated magnetic clouds. The implications of these observations for the topology of interplanetary plasma clouds are discussed.
