Description and Performance Characteristics of a Captive Airfoil Balloon System Used in the Initial Phase of the Aeropalynologic Survey ProjectThe purpose of this paper is to present results of a system analysis and operational evaluation of a captive airfoil balloon system. The system was used operationally in support of an Aeropalynologic Survey Project at NASA Wallops Island, Virginia, during the summer of 1966.
