Virtual Prototyping for Carbon Nanotubes and Their CompositionsCarbon nanotubes (CNT) are of interest as constituents-reinforcements for composites, probes for scanning microscopy, quantum wires for electronics, and building blocks for nanomachinery. Their small size makes direct experimental measurements difficult. Therefore, the critical answers about their properties should be obtained based on adequate modeling, virtual prototyping, using the methods of classical molecular dynamic (MD), in combination with the analytical methods and continuum mechanics.
