Landing Site Mission ImpactsThis document is intended to provide the Mars Surveyor 2001 Project Science Group (PSG) with an overview of all the significant impacts of landing site location on the flight system, mission design, and science return. In order to facilitate the design of the Rover and Lander systems, the Project has requested that the PSG select a 15 latitude band within the 15S to 30N region, at the site selection workshop to be held at NASA Ames Research Center on January 26-27, 1998.
