ROSAT AO8 Investigation: Variability in Hyades G StarsWe had proposed to observe 40 G stars twice, to look for variability on timescales of 6-9 months. Due to the failure of the ROSAT spacecraft, we only obtained single observations of 23 stars. We analyzed these images, measured the X-ray fluxes, and compared them to the published fluxes from EINSTEIN and the ROSAT PSPSC Hyades survey. No significant variability was seen. A paper has been drafted, but not yet written. The data reduction formed a part of a summer research project for a high school student, and so contributed to public outreach.
