A Study of Soil and Duricrust Models for MarsAn analysis of soil and duricrust formation mechanisms on Mars is presented. Soil analog mixtures have been prepared, characterized and tested through wet/dry cycling experiments; results are compared with Mars Pathfinder soil data (spectral, chemical and magnetic).
