Participation in the ISO Key Project - IPAC ProjectThis program used guaranteed ISO time to observe the interstellar medium in nearby galaxies. The goals of the program are to determine the origin of the infrared emission, to quantify the physical conditions of the interstellar medium, and to study the heating and physical properties of interstellar dust. This program has been carried out successfully, and produced a number of publications reporting the results.
