The Low-Lying Electronic States of Mg2(+)The low-lying doublet and quartet states of Mg+ have been studied using a multireference configuration interaction approach. The effect of inner-shell correlation has been included using the core-polarization potential method. The computed spectroscopic constants, lifetimes, and oscillator strengths should help resolve the difference between the recent experiments and previous theoretical calculations.
