Origin of Water on MarsDynamical simulations suggest that the Earth's water budget was delivered primarily from the asteroid belt, in the form of large planetary embryos. The same simulations present a very different picture for Mars its water came from a mixture of cometary and small asteroidal bodies. Additional information is contained in the original extended abstract.
