Amorphous Silicate Smokes as Catalysts for the Production of Complex Organic Species in the Primitive Solar NebulaAmorphous Mg-silicates are excellent Fischer-Tropsch catalysts that convert H2 and CO into hydrocarbons almost as well as Fe-silicates. Mg-silicates do not catalyze formation of ammonia. N is incorporated into the organics if CO, N2 and H2 are used. Additional information is contained in the original extended abstract.
