Residual Gas in Closed SystemsThe amount and composition of residual gases formed in sealed ampoules loaded with different elements or binary II-VI or IV-VI compounds and subjected to various thermal processings, annealing and/or resublimation conducted under different conditions were investigated. The results of these experiments are discussed in terms of the procedural, thermochemical, and kinetic limitations to the process.
