The problem of assuring performance robustness of biological life support systemsA perspective of the process of obtaining performance robustness of space exploration life support systems is presented. Some useful definitions are made, some relevant issues are addressed, and a procedure for establishing performance robustness, so far as it now known, is explained. An example is given to illustrate the procedure.
