Albedo in the ATIC Experiment: Results of Measurements and SimulationCharacteristics of albedo, or backscatter current, providing a 'background' for calorimeter experiments in high energy cosmic rays are analyzed. The comparison of experimental data obtained in the flights of the ATIC spectrometer is made with simulations performed using the GEANT 3.21 code. The influence of the backscatter on charge resolution in the ATIC experiment is discussed.
