Using Anomalous Along-Track Forces for Topex/Poseidon Ground Track ControlThe TOPES/POSEIDON satellite is maintained in a nearly circular, frozen orbit at an altitude of =1336 km. and an inclination of i = 66.4, which provides an exact repeat ground track every 127 revolutions and overflies two altimetry verifications sites.
