The Formation of Chondrules: Petrologic Tests of the Shock Wave ModelChondrules are mm-sized spheroidal igneous components of chondritic meteorites. They consist of olivine and orthopyroxene set in a glassy mesostasis with varying minor amounts of metals, sulfieds, oxides and carbon phases.
