High Resolution Surface Backscatter Measurements with the SeaWinds ScatterometerA technique employed to extract higher resolution backscatter measurements from the SeaWinds pencil-beam scatterometer system is described. The unique methodology necessary to achieve very high radiometric accuracy for such measurements is discussed.
