In situ x-ray and neutron powder diffraction study of LaNi5-xSnx-H systemsThis paper will present results of in situ XRD measurements of LaNi4.75Sn0.25 .during the initial absorption-desorption cycle, These measurements were performed under a similar condition to that for LaNi4.75Al0.25 previously reported [1]. The data were analyzed by the Rietveld method. Lattice parameter change and strain formation accompanying hydride phase formation and decomposition will be discussed. In addition, results of in situ neutron diffraction of LaNi4.78Sn0.22, focusing on hydrogen occupation in the hydride phase, will be presented.
