Dynamic Model Tests of Models in the McDonnell Design of Project Mercury Capsule in the Langley 20-Foot Free-Spinning TunnelOn 11 May 1959, 24 tests of the aerodynamic response of the McDonnell model Project Mercury capsule were conducted. The initial test demonstrated free-fall; a parachute was used in the remaining test. Several tests included the addition of baffles.
