Spectral Calibration of the MSFC Solar Ultraviolet MagnetographThis paper will describe the scientific goals of a sounding rocket program called the Solar Ultraviolet Magnetograph Investigation (SUMI), present a brief description of the optics that were developed to meet those goals and discuss the spectral, spatial and polarization characteristics of SUMI's Toroidal Variable-Line-Space (TVLS) gratings which are critical to SUMI's measurements of the magnetic field in the Sun's transition region.
