Procedures for the design of low-pitching-moment airfoilsThe pitching moment of a given airfoil is decreased by specifying appropriate modifications to its pressure distribution; by prescribing parameters in a special formula for the Theodorsen epsilon-function; and with superposition of a thickness distribution and subsequent tailoring. Advantages and disadvantages of the three methods are discussed.
