Method for calculating convective heat-transfer coefficients over turbine vane surfacesA method for calculating laminar, transitional, and turbulent convective heat-transfer coefficients for turbine vane surfaces is described. An approximate integral solution method produced results in good agreement with a finite-difference solution. Comparisons between the two are presented. The integral solution results agreed well with the finite-difference solution results in the laminar and turbulent regions. Differences in calculating the start of transition produced a later starting point for the approximate integral solution's transitional flow regime.
