Impact of Dissociation and Sensible Heat Release on Pulse Detonation and Gas Turbine Engine PerformanceA thermodynamic cycle analysis of the effect of sensible heat release on the relative performance of pulse detonation and gas turbine engines is presented. Dissociation losses in the PDE (Pulse Detonation Engine) are found to cause a substantial decrease in engine performance parameters.
