Development Work on Plasma Arc Jet EnginesDevelopment work was conducted on a three phase alternating current plasma jet engine under a contract led by NASA. The problems associated with the design of the three phase plasma arc jet engine were attached analytically as well as experimentally. Both phases are being described and a comparison between the analytically predicted performances for such an engine and the actual test results are being presented.
