New anemometer has fast response, measures dynamic pressure directlyA simple anemometer having a fast response to high frequency wind fluctuations by direct measurement of two drag-force components in orthogonal planes is described. It may be used to determine wind profiles to extensive heights and would be helpful in takeoff and landing of light planes.
