Discussion of Project ExcelsiorThere were two basic objectives of Project Excelsior, which was conducted by the Aerospace Medical Research Laboratories, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio. The first concerned the psychophysiological aspects of escape from high altitude and the second concerned the protection of a man in a space environment.
