Liquid Metals for Aerospace Electric-Power SystemsLiquid metals and their properties, as applied to space electric-power systems, are discussed as possible heat-transfer and thermodynamic working fluids. Representative liquid metals—lithium, sodium, potassium, NaK-78, lead, and bismuth — tare discussed and compared. Space power requirements are listed and used as a basis for evaluating the potentialities of the liquid metals.
