Threaded split ring connector separates structural sectionsThreaded split ring connector quickly and cleanly separates two structural members by remote control. The connector is retained in an expanded position by spring plates that are deflected and held by an explosive bolt. Ignition of the bolt effects the separation. This conceptual approach lends itself to various configurations and sizes of structures.
