High power dc/dc and dc/ac electrical power conversion techniques developedSmall magnetic amplifiers pass square waves through transformers and provide regulation by varying the pulse width on the secondary of the output power transformers. This pulse duration modulation is provided by a control rectifier technique or a phase-shift technique.
