Protected, high-temperature connecting cableCeramic insulated, swaged stainless steel, sheathed, protective atmosphere cable admits electrical leads into an 1800 deg F air-environment test chamber. The cable has some bending capability and provides for nine niobium alloy conductors. An argon purge during the TIG weld closure protects internal wires from oxidation and embrittlement.
