Experiment S013: Ultraviolet astronomical cameraRecordings of the stellar ultraviolet radiation in the wavelength region from 2000 to 4000 angstroms are reported. An analysis of the surface temperatures of the stars, the absorption effects occurring in the atmospheres of the stars, and the absorption effects of the interstellar dust is made from the photographic data obtained. In addition to gathering basic astrophysical data about hot, young stars, the experiment is used to clarify the problems and techniques of uv photography of stars from manned spacecraft.
