Solid state microwave electronicsThe research for improving the resolution and stability in the CEC 21-110 double-focusing mass spectrometer is reported. The types of experiments beyond the performance capability of the present instrument are given, and a control system that introduces changes in the magnetic field to maintain the position of a given mass peak is described for stabilizing the instrument.
