Study of permeability characteristics of membranesA method is reported for evaluating transport experiments with membranes which is based on conservative fluxes, i.e. fluxes of quantities which do not vary across the membrane in the steady state. Conductance coefficients were calculated for the system: 0.05 N NaCl - C-103 cation-exchange membrane- 0.1 N NaCl. It is concluded that this method can be used to characterize any system of the type - solution-membrane-solution.
