A review of transhorizon propagation as a possible tool for remote probing of the atmosphereIt is concluded that the state or structure of the atmosphere cannot be inferred unambiguously from measurement techniques used in experiments. Extensions or combinations of available techniques appear promising for use in the remote probing of the atmosphere.
