An energetic charged particle experiment on the asteroid/Jupiter missions, Pioneers F andG

The experiment package, consisting of seven Geiger-Mueller tubes as basic sensors, is described, including the instrumental characteristics and tube arrangements. The capabilities of surveying the absolute intensities, energy spectra, angular distributions of energetic electrons and protons in the Jupiter magnetosphere are discussed.
