A study of phycophysiology in controlled environmentsThe primary objective of this research is to obtain fundamental data concerning the growth and metabolism of the unicellular green algae. These organisms are most likely to provide biological oxygen and a food source for space crews. Biochemical conversions, chemical composition, and cell growth and division are discussed. Chlorella sorokiniana is emphasized.
