Recent probe measurements of dc electric fields from IMP 1The measurement of dc electric fields in the magnetosphere by IMP 1 are presented. Electric fields on the order of 1 mV/m in the solar wind, with about a 40% jump at the bow shock were observed. Observational results are graphed.
