3C279 - Evidence for a non-superrelativistic model.Measurements of the observed variation of the total flux density of the quasi-stellar radio source 3C279 at 7.8 GHz are discussed. It is shown that these measurements are consistent with a model for 3C279 that does not involve an apparent source expansion rate of ten times the speed of light.
